Breath magazine 01

Inspired by reading The Revenge of Analog by David Sax during an intercontinental flight, we set out to self-publish a high-end Christian art magazine chock full of the Word. We entitled it Breath, a word for wind and the spirit in both the Old and New Testaments.

But there is a spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Job 32.8

Our inaugural issue was groundbreaking in a few ways. It was the first publication, for instance, that solved the riddle of the prophet Jonah. He stands as a type of the Israel who, after resurrection, spreads the Gospel to the Gentiles. We showed how Jesus’ enigmatic phrase of “This sickness will not end in death, but is for the glory of God” in the Lazarus account fits into the Father’s divine plan of him being crucified/glorified on the cross. We pitted the divine denunciation of runaway self-indulgence found in Amos against America’s culture of faith as entertainment. Finally, we interviewed a bonafide New Testament prophet, not unlike Agabus in the book of Acts, who received a divine visitation from the Lord himself who commissioned him to preach judgment to this generation.

The issue is sold out and no longer available.
